The NextGen Initiative of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) helps students and recent graduates find their way into the themed entertainment/visitor attractions industry and facilitates TEA member companies’ ability to recruit from this fresh talent pool. See NextGen Committee members
Resources and benefits available to TEA NextGen members help them find internships, mentors and jobs. Professional development opportunities include GibGab speed networking, TEA Talks webinars, other educational sessions and access to TEA conferences, mixers and behind-the-scenes events.
NextGen membership in TEA is available at discounted rates for full-time students and recent grads (within 3 years of graduation). Universities and colleges may create TEA student clubs under the TEA NextGen umbrella.
Founded in 1991, with 1,000+ members and four International Divisions, TEA operates at the core of the industry that creates and operates theme parks and other visitor attractions - water parks, museums, destination resorts, casinos, corporate visitor centers, heritage centers, science centers, event spectaculars and more.
The attractions industry is expanding rapidly - and globally - in the 21st century, with the most dramatic growth taking place in Asia and the Middle East. TEA NextGen members are in a position to find and pursue opportunities around the world in such fields as architecture, design, engineering, operations, fabrication, costuming, master planning, media production, animation, show control, lighting, special effects, ride design and manufacturing, show writing, AV integration and more.
TEA also works with academic institutions to foster the creation of themed entertainment curricula.
